Seatbelt laws are bullshit

Am I the only one that thinks seatbelt laws are bullshit? I’m all for being safe, and I always wear a seatbelt. But why is it that I could cruise around on a motercycle in a rainstorm wearing a t-shirt and shorts but get a $63.00 ticket because I wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in my car?
